Tennis courts in Ilioupoli

Ilioupoli has one of the largest municipal tennis centres in Attica, at Πανόραμα: five clay courts, four green set, one mini tennis, a gym and a café. The municipality runs it with organised coaching groups and publishes its prices clearly. The annoying part is that you first have to find the coach in charge so he can place you in a group, and that there is no published way to book a court on its own for an hour.

How to book a municipal court — Municipality of Ilioupoli (Δήμος Ηλιούπολης)

  1. 1Pick a group from the timetables the municipality publishes for adults or teenagers, by level: beginner, intermediate or advanced.
  2. 2Contact the physical education teacher in charge first, through the Sports Directorate on 2109922899 or 2109944001. He decides which group your level fits, and only then is the registration made.
  3. 3Go to the office with your supporting documents and pay the registration and the monthly subscription by card at the POS terminals. The municipality does not accept cash for the groups.
  4. 4Train at the Αθλητικό Κέντρο Αντισφαίρισης Πανοράματος (Panorama tennis centre), Αγγέλου Έβερτ 1 and Δαμασκηνού in Άνω Ηλιούπολη.

Price
Registration €10 for registered residents (δημότες) and €20 for non-residents (ετεροδημότες), one-off. Monthly subscription €20 for registered residents or residents of Ilioupoli and €30 for everyone else.

Opening hours
Adult groups Monday to Friday 18:30-22:30 and Saturday 10:00-13:00, depending on level. Teenage groups Monday to Thursday 16:30-18:30 and Saturday 09:00-10:00.

What is not published
  • — The municipality does not publish a price or a procedure for booking a single court outside the organised groups.
  • — No direct telephone number for the Αθλητικό Κέντρο Αντισφαίρισης Πανοράματος is published, nor the name of the coach in charge.
  • — The old ΠΑΟΔΗΛ sports website no longer works; all sports information has moved to ilioupoli.gr.
  • — The Όμιλος Αντισφαίρισης Ηλιούπολης, a private club with its own booking system for its members, is housed at the same address. It is not the same thing as the municipal programme.
